Botox & Neurotoxin FAQs
Common questions about Botox, Dysport, and other anti-wrinkle treatments at Luxe House. If you don’t see your question here, our practice-wide General FAQ covers booking, pricing, and policies.
What is Botox and how does it work?
Botox is an FDA-approved neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes the small facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles — the lines that form when you smile, frown, or raise your eyebrows. By softening that muscle activity, Botox smooths existing lines and helps prevent new ones from setting in.
What areas can Botox treat?
The most common areas we treat are forehead lines, the “11s” between the brows, crow’s feet around the eyes, bunny lines on the nose, lip flips, chin dimpling, and jaw slimming (masseter Botox). It can also be used to soften neck bands and treat excessive sweating.
How long does a Botox appointment take?
Plan on about 20–30 minutes from check-in to walking out. The injections themselves take only a few minutes.
Does Botox hurt?
Most patients describe it as a quick pinch. The needles are very fine, and we can apply ice or topical numbing if you’d like extra comfort.
When will I see results from Botox?
You’ll start to see softening in 3–5 days, with full results around the two-week mark.
How long does Botox last?
Typically 3–4 months. Longevity varies based on metabolism, dosage, treatment area, and how active those muscles are.
How do I know if I need a touch-up?
We ask all patients to wait the full two weeks before assessing results. If a specific area still feels a little strong, book a Botox Touch-Up appointment through our online scheduler.
What should I expect right after my appointment?
You may see small bumps where the product was injected — these are completely normal and resolve within about 30 minutes. Some patients experience mild redness or pinpoint bruising.
What are the aftercare instructions for Botox?
For the best results:
- Apply ice for comfort, gently.
- Avoid bending, lying flat, or vigorous facial movements for 4 hours.
- Don’t touch, rub, or massage the treated area.
- Skip exercise and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
- Avoid makeup over the area for 24 hours.
- Avoid NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) for 48 hours.
You’ll receive full pre- and post-care instructions by email when you book.
Will Botox make me look frozen or unnatural?
No. Our injectors take a tailored approach — we’re aiming for a refreshed, well-rested version of you, not a flat or expressionless look. Dosing is always personalized.
Can I start Botox in my 20s as prevention?
Many patients do. Preventative Botox is a popular approach for stopping deeper lines from forming in the first place, and dosing for younger patients is typically lighter.
How much does Botox cost at Luxe House?
Botox is priced per unit, and the number of units you’ll need depends on the area and your goals. We’re happy to share specific pricing during your free consultation or by phone at 631-505-1036.
Do you accept Allē rewards for Botox?
Yes. We participate in Allē, so you can earn and redeem points on every Botox treatment.
