PRP | EZ Gel PRF FAQ
What is PRP and EZ Gel PRF?
Both are made from a small sample of your own blood. We spin it down to isolate the platelets and growth factors that help your body heal and regenerate. PRP is platelet-rich plasma in liquid form. EZ Gel PRF is a longer-lasting gel made from platelet-rich fibrin, which acts as a natural filler and biostimulator.
What’s the difference between PRP and EZ Gel PRF?
PRP is great for microneedling, hair restoration, and surface-level skin rejuvenation. EZ Gel PRF is thicker, lasts longer, and is ideal for restoring volume — under the eyes, in the cheeks, or in fine wrinkles — using nothing but your own biology.
What can PRP and EZ Gel PRF treat?
Under-eye hollows, fine lines, dull or crepey skin, acne scarring, hair thinning, and overall skin tone and texture. EZ Gel PRF can also be used as a natural alternative to traditional dermal filler in select areas.
Is PRP/PRF safe?
Because the product comes from your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction or rejection is extremely low. Side effects are usually limited to mild bruising or swelling.
Does the procedure hurt?
The blood draw feels like any standard lab draw. The injection or microneedling portion is performed with topical numbing for comfort.
When will I see results?
Some patients see initial brightness within a few days. The fuller results — improved tone, texture, and (for PRF) volume — develop over 6–12 weeks as your body builds new collagen.
How long do results last?
PRP results typically last 12–18 months. EZ Gel PRF can last 9–12 months in volumized areas. A series of treatments is usually recommended for best results.
How many sessions will I need?
Most patients see strong results from a series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance once or twice a year.
Is there downtime?
Minimal. You may have mild redness, swelling, or bruising for 1–3 days, especially if PRP is paired with microneedling or used under the eyes.
Who is a good candidate?
Most healthy adults are candidates. PRP/PRF is a great fit if you prefer natural, regenerative treatments or want results without synthetic filler. We do not perform PRP/PRF if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain blood disorders.
